In 2011 the club earned a place in the 1st National Soccer League and has maintained their status since that time. The home games of the FC Augsburg take place in the WWK Arena, the first CO2-neutrally operated soccer stadium.

The Augsburg Panthers (AEV) play in the German Ice Hockey League. The Panther’s biggest success was the vice championship in the DEL. The Augsburg ice skating association was founded in 1878 and has home games in the Curt-Frenzel-Stadium. Stars like Leonhard Weit, Paul Ambros, Ernst Köpf, and Ernst Höfner have played for the Augsburg Panthers.

The Ice Canal was the first artificial white water course in the world. It was created for the canoe slalom competitions in the Munich Summer Olympic games in 1972. The Ice Canal, “the mother of all artificial canoe slalom courses”, often hosts international competitions. Canoe Swabia- Augsburg and the Augsburg Kayak club can boast several Olympic and world champions.

Peter-Krauß-Cycling Track Augsburg
The Peter Krauß Velodrom of the RSG Augsburg was established in 1988 as a result of the initiative of the late Peter Krauß. The wood track is 200 meters long, with a 45 degree kurve banking. The cycling track for the Augsburg bike club is located in the Flossmann-Gymnasium on the Eisackstraße. Amateur athletes are also welcome to use the facilities.
