Following the Footsteps of the Fuggers

The tour “Following the Footsteps of the Fuggers” leads to 15 information boards commemorating the great Swabian family. These signs are located at various stations throughout the historical city centre. This tour can be taken completely or in part on foot. It leads to sights of interest such as the Fuggerei and the Fugger chapel in St. Anna, the Fugger monument and the Fugger houses, the Cathedral, the Ulrich basilica, City Hall and the Roman Museum. The information boards are in German, English and Italian and each refers to the next sight of interest. In addition a “mobile audio guide” is offered for each station. The signposting is a co-operation of the city of Augsburg, Regio Augsburg Tourismus GmbH and the Fürstlich and Gräflich Fuggerschen Stiftungen.
